We will work movement into the joints and strengthen those muscles which support us, especially the core and back. We will restore balance through the body. Modern life and working conditions as well as stress can leave our bodies working less effectively, Pilates strengthens and mobilises to find that balance again.
I also incorporate mindfulness into the class as to be able to manage the emotional and mind body reactions that come with pain.
Soft tissue massage and stretching using aromatherapy oils will be used as required depending on each person’s need. I adopt a personalised approach for each person.
