The folklore of the
Earth, once told and sung, sought hiding
and concealment in the web of Grandmother Spider .
And so the wisdom
and words, characters and tales were cast away from sight, yet crystalised
within the leaves and roots of plants and trees like a fossil frozen in time
Kept safe from the
hunting of the witch, and the search for logic and facts.
Lost and forgotten,
it found refuge in the Storyteller’s Garden
Ready to be
awakened
Rekindled in the
imagination
In minds and hearts
As it was
And always will be
When the story was
Retold from the Wisdom
in the leaves and
branches
of the plants and trees
of the Earth
