In usual times,
I teach both classes from my home studio. All classes must be booked in advance.
Preventing pain and managing the body’s reactions to pain is really key for anyone living with pain. This class is suitable for anyone who suffers aches and pains including those with conditions such as arthritis, sciatica, fibromyalgia or frozen shoulder issues.
We will work movement into the joints and strengthen those muscles which support us, especially the core and back. We will restore balance through the body. Modern life and working conditions as well as stress can leave our bodies working less effectively and Pilates strengthens and mobilises to find that balance again.
Emily also incorporates mindfulness into the class as to be able to manage the emotional and mind body reactions that come with pain.
Soft tissue massage and stretching using aromatherapy oils will be used as required depending on each person’s need. Emily adopts a personalised approach for each person

About the Teacher
Emily is a Pilates teacher who is also a Massage therapist and Clinical Aromatherapist. She takes a truly holistic approach to pain and uses this to connect people with their bodies to tune into methods of pain relief using meditation and aromatherapy.
