Hawthorn Tea

Why drink Hawthorn Tea?

It helps you tune into the energy of the season, your own softness, womb space and heart. It is so simple, so deep and musky. For me, it takes me right to the womb of Mother Earth and such a knowing. The heart connection from the petals as well as the berries is truly beautiful. This is a tea to be taken in a sacred space, a remembrance of the goodness and love within you.

The petals can be dried and stored for tea. It is a careful art to pick them when they are at their most potent (usually early May)

Best Drying Techniques

When I’m drying petals, as they fall from the flower head I often put them in paper bags and hang them on a line in a well-ventilated space.

After around 10 days, I put them into sterilised jars, label them and date them and store. This is such a good time of the year to start to store so many petals, leaves and herbs as they are full of the solar energy of fire and will last at least a year if stored well.

Take a seat, stir the pot, enjoy the aroma, slow down and

Enjoy!
