With all practices of devotion there is a focal point in the physical realm; from the beginning of time; a stone which speaks of an entry point, a photograph of a dear soul, a ring or wreath for love and togetherness. The object is a representation to focus the desire and love with intention. Even the leaving of the mince pie and carrots on Christmas Eve is a kind of offering to another realm, with the intention of bringing blessings to the following day. What is brought about through the physical act of giving is the internal loving heart giving the attention and care, blessings and prayers and it is this energy which we work with in the altar practice.
The Ancestral Altar is a piece which I introduce as part of my teachings about the Illuminated Ancestors and the connection between the guidance and this world where we bring it into our lives. When we work with the Illuminated Ancestors, this is our team of support available to each family member from the Angelic Realm. This is the council who are part of your ancestral tree who have the keys and wisdom to unlock all patterns and bring about the restoration of the lines of love and wisdom direct from the source for you. It is their job and they have been assigned with the role to support us with all aspects of our families; past, present and future. When we bring all the questions and challenges of our families to the altar, we communicate between realms in a way which is safe, divine and brings about gifts for the living and the dead. It is the ceremony of altar magic.
